Writing Prizes and Hats for Haiti!

We can't believe that we are starting our final week of this half term next week. So much has been happening in school!

Friday 5th February has definitely been a busy one!

The children were extremely excited at our celebration assembly. It was the 4th Anniversary of our writing prize. Mr Dave Proctor our Chair of Governors arrived in the assembly armed with a bag of goodies, a sprinkling of stars and a certificate...........and the whole assemly hall fell silent as the nominees from each year group were announced.

Then the winner was declared.........

Congratulations Owen of Year 3 for this fantastic piece of writing and a huge thank you to Mr Proctor for his writing prize donation.

Hats for Haiti - Friday 5th February - UPDATE

We have all been amazed and inspired by the story of Charlie Simpson's cycle ride for Haiti that has raised a phenominal amount for the charity. When asked by Mrs Williams if our Pupils wanted to do anything, it was a unanimous response.

On Friday 5 February we hosted our ‘Hats for Haiti’ day. All children and staff were encouraged to participate simply by wearing a hat to school and contributing a donation. The hats came in a whole variety of shapes and sizes! Look at some of the hats the staff wore here

Well done to everyone - we have raised a total of £211 so far!
